"La Tarte Flambee" is a kind of "French pizza" from Alsace made from a very thin layer of pastry topped with sour cream, chopped onions and bacon. In Le Feu there are 30 different "Tarte Flambee" after old traditional recipe! Our special: "all you can eat". Here, everyone at the table pays a fixed price. One by one the various "Tarte Flambee" variations are served, the one from which you have previously selected from the map beforehand . Included are all savory and sweet "Tarte Flambee"!
Cozy and tasty. Top service! Absolute recommendation!
After three years a friend and I went to Le Feu in Herford. We were really looking forward to the tarte flambée. Although we hadn't reserved a table, we got one .. Great. However, the service kept us waiting too long when ordering, even though we were sitting directly across from the counter ... the food, however, came relatively quickly. We decided on All you can eat for € 17.90 pp. The menu said "up to 6 people: 2 tarte flambée per round" ... So in the first round we ordered two tarte flambée with fish ... In the second one with feta and one with fruit ... But we quickly realized that we were full. Over half of the two tarte flambée had been eaten. So I asked the waitress to pack them up before paying. She said that since we had all you can eat, we were therefore not "allowed" to take the food and that we were not "allowed" to get the fourth. But according to the map, up to 6 people noticed two tarte flambée. It wasn't like that, one for every two people, she said ... Then write it that way! ... But if we had ordered these individually, then we "could" take them with us! ... For the same price ... Mega logical, right? -. - Otherwise guests would come up with the idea and take advantage of the all you can eat offer and order more and more tarte flambée. I said that the argument would only make sense if our tarte flambée had been untouched ... These were half eaten and paid for, but we "weren't allowed" to take them with us. Only the landlady came and explained to us very energetically and with a slightly raised tone that such an exception cannot be made with us because word gets around quickly. They discussed with us for over 20 minutes! So the old conventional philosophy of gastronomy "the customer is king" was totally absent! I used to enjoy going there ... Having such an experience after years is ... Modest ... I don't feel like discussing and explaining when I want what's mine! Never again! And that's exactly what gets around quickly;) LG
Delicious! Good selection, interesting combinations
The tarte flambée were delicious, but very sparingly topped. The staff was very inattentive.
Large selection. Everything was very tasty. Staff very friendly.
The food was great. The shop itself is very cozy. Unfortunately we had a very stressful and full day. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for service. We also expressed our "displeasure" when paying. However, they apologized directly and compensated us with a drink. Since the food was really great and the service was clearly trying hard, I'll definitely be back.
Delicious! The ALL YOU CAN EAT for 17.90 € / p.p. I liked it. So we were able to try several different flammkuchen variations. In any case, reserve a table in advance! This works online without any problems
Not cheap but very tasty and super cozy there, both in the restaurant and outside in the beer garden.
Great food and great service. Everything great. Top.
Very tasty tarte flambée. Great card. A tarte flambée (for around 10 €) is of course something for a hollow tooth for good eaters. For € 17.50 there is the all-you-can-eat version, which we will use next time! Very attentive staff. Clean toilet with a very well equipped changing table. Nice courtyard with outside seating. The only drawback: a lot of wasps. The staff really went into it, chasing us away with burning coffee beans. With two bowls per table it finally worked.
Very nice atmosphere, delicious food and great service.
There are over 50 different tarte flambées. There were four of us and ate “all you van eat”. We managed 9 pieces and they were all very, very tasty. The staff was very nice and attentive. We never had to wait long.
Four of us were there yesterday. Could sit outside. We didn't even know that Le Feu has such a beautiful beer garden. The service was super nice and fast and the food was delicious. Was nothing to complain about.
Delicious tarte flambee, great ambience and nice staff.
Rustic furnishings. Very nice. Staff friendly and courteous. Flammkuchen very tasty. With beer garden
The selection is very large (almost too large). The taste is good, but not everything, sometimes the salt was not used for stinging. The beer garden is great and the selection of wines is also good.
Service and drinks were good. The tarte flambée was not our cup of tea. Certainly a matter of taste. However, we found the dough too hard and the topping very sparse and also not optimal from the freshness and combination of the ingredients.
Very nice staff and super fond of children. Really excellent tarte flambee and a nice selection of wines. Rustic decor, overall very cozy. Highly recommended!
Simply super delicious! The staff couldn't be nicer. Thank you for the lovely evening. In the difficult times of Covid-19, special attention is paid to hygiene! We will come back in any case. A special compliment to the innkeeper and the cook.
Very tasty tarte flambee. We were there on a Wednesday, which means 2 plates with 2 sorts each. So great to try ?? definitely worth it. The sweet tarte flambées are also very tasty
Yummy and friendly
Refreshing change to dining out
